The sports biographical film Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, is up against fierce competition at the box office from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. According to the first-day statistics, BMCM on Thursday clearly outperformed Maidaan.

Maidaan, the newest film from Ajay Devgn, opened to a respectable number on Thursday, amid fierce opposition from Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar. Sacnilk.com reports that Maidaan made Rs 4.50 crore on its first day of business, almost Rs 10 crore less than BMCM. On Wednesday, however, Maidaan earned about Rs 2.5 crore from paid previews, bringing its total earnings to Rs 7.10 crore thus far.

Because it’s the holidays, the biographical movie should do well on its first prolonged weekend.
On Thursday, Maidaan’s overall occupancy rate was 14.56%, with the evening shows accounting for a significant portion of this.

Maidaan Movie Review

In her review of the Ajay Devgn film, Sakshi Verma of India TV said, “Our nation has long been recognized for cricket and hockey, though Indian football was once referred to as the ‘Brazil of Asia.'” The only people who made this possible were Syed Abdul Rahim and his group. The movie Maidaan is about a man’s unwavering spirit and his defiance of death. At certain points, the movie seems a little slack. Some people may find the Bengali usage strange. All that Ajay Devgn can utter with his Hyderabadi accent is “Miyaan.” There are also much too many smokes there. Although the movie intended to provide an explanation for Rahim’s illness, there were other instances in which the smoking might have been eliminated, including sequences in Hyderabad and the Football Federation. Maidaan is one of the best sports movies produced in India, despite all its drawbacks.
